In 2014, she starred in a sitcom, Rush. She was cast as the lead, as Pendo Adama, the owner and editor-in-chief of Rush Magazine.

A source at Citizen TV intimates that over the last three years, Janet’s salary has been raised to Ksh 1.1 million (including allowances), making her one of the highest paid TV anchors in Kenya.
