Gunga Mwinga bio

Gunga Mwinga Chea was born on 02 November 1975 in Kilifi County. He is the MP for Kaloleni Constituency in Kilifi County having been elected in 2013 on a KADU – Asili (Kenya African Democratic Union-Asili) ticket in the CORD Coalition. He is a first time MP.

In the National Assembly, he is a member of the Catering and Health Club Committee from 2013.

Gunga Mwinga Political Career

Mwinga Gunga Chea introduced the Community Land Bill 2015 to the National Assembly. This law, will ensure the transfer of land operations from the national government to the county.

In Nov. 17, 2015, The Coast Parliamentary Group Economic Empowerment Forum of Thirteen Coast MPs chaired by Kaloleni MP Mwinga Gunga Chea formed an organisation to champion regional economic empowerment and strengthen its bargaining power in national politics.

Mwinga Gunga Chea took over the leadership of the forum from Gideon Mung’aro who was demoted for being a Jubilee Coalition sympathiser.
