This is how UHURU reacted desperately after KABURA’s damning dossier on WAIGURU’s NYS scam

National Youth Service (NYS) scandal suspect, Josephine Kabura Irungu,  linked former Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Miss Anne Waiguru, to the Sh 791 million NYS scandal on Monday saying she was the chief mastermind of the scandal.

In a 16 page affidavit, Kabura said that Ms Waiguru was at the centre of the scandal and she knew everything that was going on all along.

Kabura said Waiguru played a key role in devising underhand schemes to divert public attention and mislead investigative agencies from getting to the bottom of the scandal.

She even said Waiguru stage managed arrests and police raids in order to confuse Kenyans on the loss of money.

Kabura also said that at one time Waiguru, through her sister Loise Mbarire Nyumu, demanded Sh 80 million cash to try and bribe police and the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) officials investigating the case.

Kabura’s revelations are said to have caused panic at State House, Nairobi.

Sources said that Uhuru was shocked by the timing of the damning affidavit and ordered Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinett, to summon all police officers who were investigating the case.

He also got through to CID Director, Ndegwa Muhoro, and asked him to investigate and interdict all CID sleuths who were involved in covering up the NYS scandal.

A source said that the President is worried that this ‘Waiguru mess’ may kill his political career and make him a one term President and that is why he ordered Muhoro and Boinett to investigate and arrest all the culprits involved in covering it up.

There were also whispers that the former CS was almost making it back to Government but this affidavit killed that option or now.
