President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto deploy armed GSU officers to counter Raila Odinga and Ali Hassan Joho in Malindi
The Government of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, was forced to deploy a contingent of heavily armed GSU officers yesterday to counter former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Joho, in Malindi.
The two leaders stormed Malindi Police Station accompanied by other opposition leaders and a sea of humanity to record a statement over the violence that erupted during the Malindi Parliamentary by-election in which a TNA woman was str!pp3d n@ked by CORD goons.
The CORD wave shook State House to the core prompting Government to send armed GSUs to counter them out of fear.
It also forced the police to postpone recording of the statement by Governor Joho due to heightened tension.
The officers also alleged that the Al Shabaab may take advantage of the CORD multitude to attack.
