Salah Farah awarded The Order of the Grand Warrior of Kenya posthumously
President Uhuru Kenyatta, during his State of the Nation Address has posthumously awarded Salah Farah The Order of the Grand Warrior of Kenya. Salah Farah is the Kenyan Muslim who shielded Christians in Al-Shabab attack in Mandera Kenya.
The President hailed praises for Salah Farah, our hero saying it is through such acts that Kenya has weathered the religious segregation, an ideology being advanced by the world war-mongers.
The president said the family will be taken care of by the state until they can fend for themselves.
President Kenyatta urged all Kenyans to emulate Salah Farah in their own way to live the spirit of nationhood.
Salah Farah was shot after refusing to be separated from Christian passengers during an al-Shabab attack on a bus travelling from Mandera to Nairobi in January,2016.
Salah Farah was a teacher at Mandera Township Primary School
He succumbed to his wounds, leaving behind four young children aged between two and 10, and a pregnant wife who is expected to give birth.
