International Media condemned CORD after ODM interrupted Uhuru Kenyatta Speech in Parliament
International media houses have praised President Uhuru Kenyatta for putting up with Kenya’s opposition after ODM interrupted Uhuru Kenyatta Speech in Parliament on Thursday during State of the Nation Address
In an article carried by London based media house, Reuters, titled ‘Kenyatta chides opposition after speech disrupted’ Uhuru is portrayed as a statesman from his reaction when ODM’s ‘boys and girls’ were misbehaving in a live TV address.
The popular media house which has a large audience in US and UK said Kenyatta even mocked the opposition by saying that they were entertaining him when they were blowing whistles like children inside the House of Rules.
“Criticism without alternatives is reckless political sport,” Uhuru was quoted saying.
CORD leaders were hoping that international media houses will praise their defiance in Parliament but even The Guardian incensed them by carrying an article against the opposition and titled it ‘Kenya’s opposition misbehaves in Parliament’.
Meanwhile, majority of Kenyans have condemned the incident in Parliament on Thursday saying the opposition leaders have shown they cannot be the alternative Government.
