Moi University School of Aerospace Sciences Non-Degree Programmes Admission Requirements
Private Pilot Licence (PPL)
# A candidate should be at least Seventeen years of age and should be Proficient in English.
# A candidate should hold a KCAA class two medical Certificate and have a student Pilot Licence.
# A candidate should have a C plain in English
The minimum requirement is a mean grade of C at KCSE or its equivalent recognized by Moi University Senate and have a C (Plain) in English.
Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)
# A candidate should be at least Eighteen years old
# A candidate must be Proficient in English
# A candidate must hold a KCAA class two medical certificate
# A candidate should hold a valid Kenyan or foreign Private Pilot Licence.
Multi-Engine/Instrument Rating
- A candidate should be at least Eighteen years old
- A candidate should be proficient in English
- A candidate should hold a KCAA class one medical certificate
- A candidate should hold a valid Kenyan or foreign Private Pilot Licence or Commercial Pilot Licence.
Moi University School of Aerospace Sciences Degree Courses
1. Bsc. Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Sciences in Piloting
After completion of this course, one will get these licenses
- Private Pilot License (PPL)
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL),
- Instrument Rating (IR) offered by Kenya Civil Aviation authority
2. Bsc of science in Aerospace Sciences in Logistics
3. Bsc. of Science in Aerospace Security

Professional Pilot Option
The minimum requirement is a mean grade of C+ (Plus) in KCSE or its equivalent recognized by Moi University senate and also have:
- C+ (Plus) in Mathematics
- C+ (Plus) in Physics
- C+ (Plus) in English and
- C+ (Plus) in Geography/Chemistry
In addition to the above requirements, candidates must meet the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) Medical Certificate (2nd Class) requirements for the Pilot Licenses
Aerospace Logistics Option
The minimum requirement is a mean grade of C+ (Plus) in KCSE or its equivalent recognized by Moi University Senate and have:
- C+ (Plus) in Mathematics
- C+ (Plus) in English
- C+ (Plus) in Business Studies or Commerce
- C+ (Plus) in Geography/Chemistry,
Aerospace Security Option
The minimum requirement is a mean grade of C+ (Plus) in KCSE or its equivalent recognized by Moi University Senate and have:
- C+ (Plus) in Mathematics
- C+ (Plus) in English
- C+ (Plus) in Geography/Chemistry
