Charles Mutisya Nyamai profile
Charles Mutisya Nyamai was born on 6th December 1961 in Kitui County. He is the MP for Kitui Rural Constituency in Kitui County. He was elected to the 11th Parliament on a Wiper democratic Movement Kenya (CORD) ticket in 2013 elections.
He was also an MP for Kitui West Constituency from 2008 – 2012 on a NARC ticket. He had ousted Nyiva mwendwa who had vied on an ODM-K Party ticket
In the 10th parliament he was a member of Local Authorities and Funds Accounts Committee and Constituencies Development Fund (CDF Act) Committee

Charles Mutisya Nyamai found with Bhang at home
In November 2013 Police claimed they have found bhang in MP Charles Mutisya Nyamai’s home. Nyamai neither denied nor admitted that police uprooted bhang from his Kileleshwa home.
On November 19, 2013, police raided his home and uprooted five sacks of cannabis sativa, which was being grown at his garden.
A source who witnessed the operation insisted that the substance was bhang. “It was taken to Kileleshwa Police Station. I am certain they want to hide the incident and destroy the evidence,” the witness said.
The MP was not in the compound when the operation was conducted. An informer tipped off the police.
When contacted for comment, the legislator wrote on SMS that he was not aware of the incident since he had been away.
Charles Mutisya Nyamai in Court for assault
In October 2013, MP Charles Mutisya Nyamai appeared in court to answer assault related charges. He was accused of assaulting a man during 2013 general election campaigns. Nyamai appeared before the Kitui judge and was charged
with assaulting Augustine Githinji.
Warrant of arrest issued against Charles Mutisya Nyamai for theft
In May 2016, a Nairobi court issued a warrant of arrest against Kitui Rural MP Charles Nyamai for failing to appear in court to answer to criminal charges against him.
He was expected to plead to the charges of fraudulently obtaining Sh7 million goods between May 28, 2014, and June 3, 2014, in Nairobi.
