UHURU Kenyatta badly embarrassed by ISRAEL PM Benjamin Netanyahu
President Uhuru Kenyatta landed safely in Tel Aviv, Israel, yesterday evening for a three–day State visit.
However, Uhuru got the shock of his life upon arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv after he found no one from the Israel Government waiting to receive him at the airport as is the tradition for State visits.
Apparently, Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, was too busy to receive our President and never remembered even to send one his Cabinet Ministers to pick Uhuru from the airport.
Uhuru was received by officials from the Kenyan Government, a handful of staff working in the Kenyan Embassy in Israel and three junior Israel Government officials.
The poor reception of President Kenyatta in Israel has left many wondering whether Netanyahu and his Government do not recognize him as President of Kenya or whether it was a deliberate move to embarrass our President.
