Why Raila Odinga Skipped Wetangula Presidential bid Launch at Muliro Gardens Kakamega

On the Saturday 2nd April, 2016 when Moses Wetangula was launching his presidential bid at Muliro Gardens kakamega, his CORD co-principal Raila Odinga was said to have gone for holiday in Tanzania.

It was widely expected that Raila would attend the launch so as to be seen to be in solidarity with his cord counterpart Moses Wetangula. Some sources indicated that Raila received intelligence that there would be fracas during the launch pitying Ford Kenya and ODM die-hards.

But the questions that have not been answered is that if there is no rift between Wetangula and Raila then why would their supporters clash and also why would Raila skip the event only to go on holiday at a very unlikely time of the year.

On arrival at Chato Secondary School on Saturday at 5pm, Mr Odinga met with the Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli and his wife Janeth Magufuli at their home in Kilimani Village in Geita Province.

Mr Odinga is accompanied by his wife Ida Odinga and daughter Winnie Odinga. The Cord leader said that he was in Tanzania on holiday while at the same time visiting his family friend, President Magufuli.
