Firimbi movement – ODM Leaders, Whistles, Parliament, Uhuru Kenyatta
ODM leaders who blew whistles in Parliament during President Kenyatta’s State of the Nation address have launched a movement they have branded Firimbi Movement.
The ODM leaders last Thursday have vowed to use the whistles – Firimbi to completely throw the House sitting in disarray and render President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Speech unreadable.
The ODM Leaders Firimbi movement
This Firimbi Movement is a brain-child of Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati, ODM chairman John Mbadi, Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang’, Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi, Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga, Suna East MP Junet Mohammed, Busia Woman Representative Florence Mutua and Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang’.
The lawmakers on Sunday April 3rd, 2016 said they had formed “Firimbi movement to awaken Kenyans”.
The ODM Leaders purported that They were a team of change. “It is a team that took courage to blow whistles in Parliament to let the President know that the country requires change. It is the start of Firimbi movement. We will blow whistles everywhere,” said Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati said.
Firimbi movement whistles in Parliament
It was discovered that those MPs that managed to sneak in the whistles in Parliament did that through funny ways.
The women MPs hid the whistles under their bras while the male MPs hid in their under pants and socks. That is why they were not detected by the guards who were frisking them at the entrance.
It is established that the whistling in parliament was supposed to be a CORD affair and was actively organised by Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. Unfortunately Other CORD Coalition members and most ODM MPs gave the whistling a wide berth making the whole exercise a total failure.
This now begs answers to the question, will the Firimbi Movement have garner any more followers to make it strong or is it an exercise in futility?
Firimbi movement Homabay MPs
It is postulated that the Firimbi movement is a Homa Bay affair that is flowered by stray MPs like Simba Arati and Florence Mutua. Pundits have it that the movement will not gather any momentum and is doomed to fail.
