Business French Certificate & Diploma Course Description – KCA
The language program is divided into two levels: Basic (6 Months) and Intermediate (6 Months). Each of the levels is further divided into 2 units, each taking a total of 35 hours. i.e. (3 Months with an average of 3 contact hours a week).
Basic level 1 covers introductory elements of the language. The teaching method used is the Communicative Approach to Language Learning, whereby the participants active involvement will be constantly solicited both in and out of the classroom.
In order to facilitate this approach, teaching methods such as oral presentations, role play, simulation and case studies will be used in addition to classroom hand-outs and notes. Audio-visual aids will be used to invoke native-speaker oral as well as real life communication situations. Authentic documents will be used as often as possible. In reference to Assessment, Oral examinations at completion of each Unit will be conducted by an external examiner.
A Business French Certificate is awarded at the end of each level. Note: A level consists of 2 Units.
