List of Over 5 MPs from Mt. Kenya Region who have ditched UHURU KENYATTA for RAILA ODINGA

Five MPs from the Meru region met CORD leader, Raila Odinga, on Tuesday night and held a lengthy meeting with the opposition leader.

The five MPs, who are ardent Jubilee supporters, met Raila Odinga in Lilian Towers Nairobi where they discussed a numbers of issues including the ailing Miraa business.

The MPs also discussed the possibility of Mt Kenya East backing Raila’s presidential bid in 2017 saying President Uhuru Kenyatta had abandoned the region.

“Yes it is true, we met Raila Odinga, and like any other Kenyan we have a constitutional right to do so,” Tigania East MP, Mpuru Aburi, said.

He said though they support the Jubilee Government, it doesn’t mean that it is a crime to meet Raila Odinga.

Mpuru said the Jubilee Government has to fulfill the pledges it promised in 2013 if Jubilee leaders want the Meru community’s votes in 2017.

“We will vote a Government that fulfills its promises but not a Government of thieves,” Mpuru said.
